Welcome Wanderer
Matteo Nasini
for Clima Gallery
Description
Welcome Wanderer is a multimedia installation created by the artist Matteo Nasini, which transforms the passage in real time of the billions of stars of the Milky Way into video and sound. The installation based on lengthy research in contemporary art, astrophysics and programming made its worldwide debut at the Clima Gallery in Milan in September 2021. For the Surfing NFT project created in dialogue between Artissima and Fondazione per l’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT, in collaboration with the technical partners Artshell and Studio legale LCA, the artist has created an NFT that stops the execution of the installation in real time and visualizes a single image of astral transit on one day, over the coordinates 45.06819660899874, 7.6806650300893935, namely the position of Fondazione per l'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea CRT. The 24 hours are divided into progressive photographic minutes for a total of 1440 images, starting from the time 00:00, to be read like a book from left to right, top to bottom.
